High Flying Family Fun

High Flying Family Fun

Last week iFly invited my family to try indoor skydiving. My husband and I were pretty excited, but we weren’t exactly sure how the kids would handle it.

The iFly website says, “Flying is FUN, SAFE and THRILLING for ages 3 to 103.” I showed my 3, 5 and 6 year olds videos from their site to help them understand what it would be like. Each one said it looked like fun, so off we went to give it a whirl!

You can fill out your flight waiver beforehand online, which is really nice when you have young, curious children that don’t stay by your side when you fill out forms in new places. Booking your flight online is also super easy.

I have to tell you that my favorite thing about iFly was the atmosphere. Everyone was super friendly and excited, and it was very laid back. We felt welcome and my kids rocked more high fives than they can count!

We teamed up with a cool couple, Jonathan and Samantha, who were there for their first flights, too. Check out their experience over at thepinkenvelope.com.

There was a brief training where you learn the flight position and the hand signals, followed by more high fives, and then it was time to suit up!

We practically had to hold Arella back until it was her turn because she was so excited. When she was up, she walked right to the door, put her arms up and dove right in! She was absolutely beaming the entire time, and loved being cheered for and getting more high fives when she was done.

My younger two both ended up being too nervous and decided not to go. But the iFly instructors were so understanding. They turned the wind off and let us walk into the tunnel as a family all suited up for a picture, and my littles still felt like they were a part of the action!

My husband and I both loved flying! Everyone got to go in the tunnel two times. The first time we were getting the feel of it, learning how to just float a bit. Then the second time the instructor flew us up and spun us around. Such a blast!

The only downside to iFly is that you just can’t get enough!
Book your fight today here!

I put together a little highlight video of Arella, my husband and I all taking flight so you can see how fun it is!
