MINNEAPOLIS — Christopher Colwill and Jevon Tarantino won the men's 3-meter springboard synchro final Thursday night, and Laura Wilkinson of The Woodlands and Jessica Livingston took the women's 10-meter platform synchro title in the USA Diving Spring National Championships.
In the women's platform event, Wilkinson and Livingston were tied with the second place team of Haley Ishimatsu and Mary-Beth Dunnichay after three dives, but pulled away in the final two and finished with 327.66 points.
Prior to this season the two were only able to train together once or twice per month because Wilkinson lived in The Woodlands while Livingston was attending the University of Texas.
This season Livingston redshirted her senior season to train with Wilkinson, and will return back to the Longhorns for her final year of eligibility next year.
"It's a huge help having her here," said Wilkinson, who won a gold medal in the 10-meter platform at the 2000 Olympics. "Our timing feels a lot more natural because we do it everyday now instead of once a month."
