It's billed as a giant slumber party/rock concert for teenage
girls. And there's a message attached about dealing with life's
issues through Christian faith.
The event is "The Revolve Tour," which stops at
Cricket Arena on Friday and Saturday. It's the first teen event
sponsored by the Women of Faith tour, which regularly visits
Charlotte.
The 6,000 teens expected to attend will find straight talk on
issues including boys, eating disorders, sex and friendships.
The program includes music and talks by Christian artists
Natalie Grant, ZOEgirl, Tammy Trent, and Olympic gold medalist
Laura Wilkinson.
The event runs 7-9:30 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday
at Cricket Arena, 2700 E. Independence Blvd. It's geared toward
girls in seventh through 12th grades. Tickets are $65, $55 for
groups of 10 or more. Box lunch is available Saturday for $8.
