INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two-time Olympians Laura Wilkinson and Troy Dumais
were among 14 divers named Friday to the U.S. team for the upcoming
world championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Wilkinson won a gold medal on the 10-meter platform at the 2005 world meet in Montreal, while Dumais took silver on the 3-meter springboard and bronze on synchronized 3-meter. Seven other divers who competed at the 2005 world championships were named to the roster. They are: David Boudia, Kelci Bryant, Chris Colwill, Thomas Finchum, Nancilea Foster, Christina Loukas and Jevon Tarantino. Newcomers to the world meet are Allison Brennan, Mary Beth Dunnichay, Haley Ishimatsu, Mitch Richeson and Ariel Rittenhouse. Ken Armstrong, Wenbo Chen and John Wingfield will coach the squad during the diving portion of the world meet, which runs March 19-26.
